Program Description

MSHA 24 Hour New Miner Training is required for anyone in traditional mining operations (developing, drilling, blasting, milling, extracting, etc.) as well as maintenance and service workers who are regularly operating mining equipment. Construction workers who are exposed to the hazards of mining operations on a regular basis are also required to take this federally mandated training.

This 24 hour, 3 day course is offered by Customized Training Solutions on a bi-weekly basis. Please check our current schedule for dates/times.

*An “Introduction to the Work Environment” is required following the classroom training including a visit and tour of the mine. The tour is coordinated through your employer and completed by an MSHA approved instructor.
